How To Allow The Pre-Assign Stops To Be Assigned To Other Vehicles

ElasticRoute allows you to pre-assign the stops to your vehicles for planning.

This feature is useful if you have certain stops that needs to be performed by certain vehicles.

This tutorial will show you the steps in using the Pre-Assign feature for doing so.

How To Set Up

Vehicle Setup

  1. Navigate to Settings > Vehicles.
  2. Click on Add Vehicle to create the vehicles.

    Refer to How To Add Vehicles.

General Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings > General.
  2. Scroll down to the Plan section.
  3. Check to enable the Release Pre-Assign To checkbox.

  4. Click Update when done.

How To Use

A list of stops was imported to show the use of the feature.

For the purpose of this tutorial, a maximum of 3 stops per day is being imposed on Vehicle1.

With Feature Being Disabled

When the Release Pre-Assign To feature is disabled, only 3 stops are being assigned to Vehicle1 (due to the max stops per day constraints), and the remaining stops have the Unserved exception.
