How To Set Default Service, Traveling And Loading Times

For ElasticRoute to perform a more realistic route that caters to your time constraints, you may choose to enter the default timings of your service, traveling and loading times here.

Whenever a stop is created, and the times are not being provided, the default values from the below settings will be taken as reference for the stop.

The inputs of the settings will affect the generation of the estimated time of arrival (ETA) and planning.

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > General.

Step 2: Scroll down to the Time section, and key in the data.

Step 3: Click Save when done.

Field Name Description Explanation
Loading Time Time taken to load the goods onto your vehicle. This loading time will add a delay time prior to planning the route. For example, if the loading time is set to 30 mins, and that the time window is set to start at 9 am, the first stop will start from 9:30 am.
Buffer Add a buffer to the traveling time. Can be used to modify for the traveling times between stops to adjust for speed of vehicle. Higher the number, the longer the traveling time.
Service Time Service time at each stop. Time spent at each stop. Can be used to account for the parking and unloading of goods at each stop.
