Today, we would like to announce a breaking change — the Max Stops constraint (via Settings > General > Run > Max Stops) is now calculated per vehicle.
Previously, the Max Stops constraint is calculated per run, which means that the total number of stops a vehicle can serve is calculated as Max Stops multiply by the number of runs the vehicle make for the day.
Consider the following:
Previously, with a setting of 30 for Max Stops, a vehicle may still serve up to 60 stops if the vehicle makes 2 runs, or 90 stops if the vehicle makes 3 runs. This is because Max Stops was calculated per run.
With this new change, a setting of 30 for Max Stops will ensure that a vehicle will serve no more than 30 stops for the day, regardless of how many runs the vehicle makes.
This change is made to better reflect a more common understanding of Max Stops and improve its ease of use.
